Parents and Coaches,
As part of our new Short-sided Development program, and as a further commitment to the growth and positive education of our children, the Freehold Soccer League has partnered with the Positive Coaching Alliance. We will be hosting two different seminars this August, one for parents, and one for coaches. The parent meetings will be approximately 30 minutes each, and it is mandatory for at least one parent of every short sided player (one parent per family with children playing U8, U9 or U10) to attend the meeting. Attendance will be taken, and completion certificates will be handed out after the seminar. All materials, including a new book on how to be a Second-Goal Parent, will be provided free of charge to each parent. The details for the seminars are as follows:

The Second-Goal Parent:  Tips and Tools to Develop Winners in Life Through Sports  (3, 30 minute sessions)

U8 Team Parents: 6:00pm to 6:30pm
U9 Team Parents: 6:45pm to 7:15pm
U10 Team Parents: 7:30pm to 8:00pm

Coaches, it is your responsibility to make sure this email gets sent to each and every parent on your team, and that it is clearly explained that at least one parent from each family attend. As an example, if there are 15 players on your team, there will be a minimum of 15 parents from your team attending the session. Both parents are invited, but only one set of materials per family will be provided.

Following the Parents workshops, there will be a short break before the Coaches Workshop begins. This meeting is also mandatory for all short sided coaches, but full sided coaches are invited and encouraged to attend as well. The details of the coaches workshop is as follows:

For all coaches that attended the Double Goal Coach Workshop last year, this is not the same session, but a follow up to the prior session. Each session is unique and builds upon the prior session. All materials will be provided free of charge to all coaches. Again, it is mandatory for all Head and Assistant coaches to attend this session.
