Coach Joe, Bill, Dave and I would like to congratulate the Freedom on an impressive start to this very young season with a 3-1 win.  Couple special shout outs tonight. 

Nice job by Megan in goal tonight, who had several spectacular saves.  Shout out to Jackie who looked like the Jackie of old tonight and had an assist.  A special shout out and a warm welcome our new players, including Lynzie who scored on a great shot from about 30 yards out, Marianella who was the fastest player on the field and Christina who played her heart out tonight.  Special shout out to Alexis who embraced the stopper role in our new formation and dominated the middle of the field.  Nice job by Mel Spinner recieving a great pass from Jackie and scoring from about 25 yards out.  How about the first play from scrimmage and Ally receiving a great pass from Megan and a score at the 37 second mark!!!  

The defense and goal keeping was awesome led by Kelly, Madison, Jackie, Megan and Alexis.  Our defensive mids played great including Rachel who was on fire tonight along with Megan and Christina.  Our attacking mids and strikers played great with many opportunities, Lynzie, Lauren, Marianella Mel and Ally all played lights out great soccer tonight.  Great to see our captain, Mackenzie rooting her team on on the sidelines.   

Game 2 Summary

"Clutch", "Gut check game", "Aces" and "Money" are all words we tried to express to the girls about how they played today.  They all had no idea what we were talking about as usual :), but they knew they deserved to win that game and they did 1-0.  Congratulations to Kelly for an absolutely brilliant pressure score on a penalty kick with the game on the line and about a minute left in the game.  The entire team should be proud of how they played today.  Special shout out to Jackie who saved a goal with a header on the line out of the back of the net, great job!! Two games to go!!!!   

Game 3 Summary

0-0 ties are tough to watch sometimes but the game was very entertaining.  We told the girls after the game that we were proud of the effort and having only one sub was not easy on everyone.  Big game tomorrow!!!!       

Game 4

Great effort today from the girls, another score at the 50 second mark from Ally and Mel (since noone can tell who scored the goal) and another goal from Lynzie today!!!   Great team effort and congrats to the entire team for a job well done this weekend.
